Renate Breuß

Born in 1956 in Hohenems, Vorarlberg; lives in Rankweil.
An art and cultural historian by training, she teaches the theory and history of design at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences as part of the InterMedia programme and has written numerous books and articles on culinary theory, building culture, and craft techniques. Since 2008, she has been director of the Werkraum Bregenzerwald, where she helped build up an institute devoted to craft and was instrumental in fostering its development and objectives. In her many years of involvement with the Art Commission and the advisory board of the Impulse Privatstiftung, she has given her determined support to the promotion of cultural and artistic activities in Vorarlberg.
